More and more organizations are coming to the awareness that a Critical Incidence Stress Management (CISM) plan can be an important component of handling a critical situation. Since a lot of situations take us by surprise we often react by not being sure what to do.

Some organizations “tough it out” and later wonder why employee production suffers or their behaviour changes. While not all behaviour changes can be attributed to the critical incident, it can be an additional stressor in the life of an employee.

Critical Incidence Stress Debrief or Critical Incidence Stress Defusing (CSID) can assist in the immediate situation by reducing stress and providing some normalcy in an abnormal situation.

ACT Associates offers both CSIM development and CISD services for businesses and churches. Contact Jurgen at 519-884-6784

All we’ve done is grown up. Pain is pain. Loss is loss. The pain of suffering up to and including being ripped away from life is physiologically experienced precisely the same whether you are three or 103. It’s what you do with it that gives it its weight; your interpretation.
