SEAM Groups

SEAM therapy groups are online therapy groups for individuals, living in Canada, who have completed treatment for alcohol or substance abuse dependency to maintain their sobriety. Utilizing our conference system, you can attend support and educational groups from the privacy of your home without the need to travel. The security elements of this conferencing platform allow you to participate confidentially, using your first name only while online. This is an ideal format for those wishing to attend an ongoing sobriety maintenance group, particularly if you live in remote areas or communities where services may not be available or you do not want to reach out for help due to your role in that community.

Training on how to participate in this format will be provided by one of our knowledgeable team members, prior to the beginning of the series so you will not encounter difficulties during the group session.

Each of the six weeks will begin with a different theme and 30-45-minute educational portion of the session, all based around relapse prevention. The second half will be group therapy to assist you with the specific areas where you are presently struggling to maintain your sobriety.
